Man In Cakung Burns Rented, Wife And In-laws Injured

JAKARTA - The Cakung Sector Police (Polsek) is hunting for a man with the initials A who deliberately burned a rented house on Jalan Borobudur, Kavling Tanah Merah, RT 06 RW 05, Cakung District, East Jakarta, on Thursday, September 18.

"We are still under investigation regarding the way the perpetrators burned and the motive is still being pursued," said Cakung Police Chief Kompol Widodo Saputro, Friday, September 19.

The police are still trying to identify the whereabouts of the perpetrators based on the statements of the witnesses of the incident.

As a result of the fire, there were two victims, namely his wife Siti Nurkalisah (33) suffered burns, and his father-in-law Marniati (50) suffered bruises.

"The wife suffered burns and her in-laws suffered bruises," said Widodo.

Previously, the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. (Sudin) revealed that the fire at a rented house on Jalan Borobudur, Kavling Tanah Merah, RT 06 RW 05, Cakung District, was triggered by a household quarrel.

The fire in the rented house with a burned area of 3x6 meters was reported by one of the local residents who came directly to the Gulkarmat Jakarta Office post at around 08.32 WIB.

Then, the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. went straight to the scene of the incident along with a fire brigade team for the initial deployment.

"We received the news at 08.32 WIB, then arrived at the location at around 08.36 WIB. We started the operation 08.37 WIB," said Head of the Operations Section of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Abdul Wahid.

A total of two pump cars with 10 personnel were deployed to the location. Losses due to the incident are estimated at IDR 15 million.

The fire can be localized around 08.38 WIB and cooling starts at 08.40 WIB. The blackout is declared complete at 08.51 WIB.
