Umusula Scores Legal Lecturer Suspected Of Violence Against Doctors

SEMARANG - Sultan Agung Islamic University (Uendusula) Semarang has imposed sanctions in the form of suspension or temporary release of duties against D, a lecturer at the legal faculty (FH) who is suspected of committing violence against doctors at the Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital in Semarang.

"Udisula strongly emphasizes to all lecturers in carrying out college tridharma, they must understand the concepts of 'prirul waldain' and 'takrimul hallid'," said Jawade Hafidz, who was appointed spokesperson for UOVAla, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 19.

A lecturer at the Faculty of Law Udiskula with the initials D, was previously suspected of committing violence against a doctor at the Sultan Agung Hospital in Semarang because he was disappointed with the services provided.

He said Uendusula as a campus emphasizing the principle of "belirrul walawain'", which is to serve and respect parents or older people, then "takrimul hall" which means otherwise that parents must glorify their children or love those who are younger.

"We really emphasize what is called love which is the main factor in the implementation of Uendusula's education, including at the Faculty of Law," he said.

Jacade, who is also the Dean of FH Uendusula, said that the campus leadership had taken steps and firm action against the lecturer, namely in the form of a release from his duties and academic function as a lecturer for a maximum of six months.

The firm action was based on a recommendation from the Ethics Council assigned by the Chancellor of Umisula to clarify and confirm the incident involving the lecturer.

He said the Ethics Council had worked by asking for information from related parties to find out the clarity of the incident and had pocketed various facts that became the basis for the recommendation.

He said the sanctions recommended by the Ethics Council refer to the Decree of the Chancellor of Umendula Number 2663/A.1/SH/III/2023 concerning the Code of Ethics of Uendusula Lecturers.

Based on the recommendations of the Ethics Council, he said, the Chancellor of Umisula with his authority issued Decree No. 8945/G.1/SH/IX/2025 regarding the imposition of a lecturer code of ethics sanction on behalf of the person concerned.

"That is a serious action taken by the rector, always the highest leadership to enforce the law and control the actions of lecturers so as not to take actions that violate the lecturer's code of ethics," he said.

He ensured that the six-month suspension measure would not affect the lecture process at FH Uendusula, including the course or student tutoring the lecturer concerned.

"Each course was forgiven by two lecturers or more. So, we make sure lectures at the Faculty of Law Urtisula continue as usual, not disturbed. Smooth as usual," he said.
