Fahri Hamzah Ready To Participate In The Constitutional Court's Decision On Multiple Positions

Deputy Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (Wamen PKP) Fahri Hamzah stated his readiness to comply with the decision of the Constitutional Court which prohibits deputy ministers from holding concurrent positions in institutions or SOEs.

Fahri was met on the sidelines of launching a pre-cooperation in the 3 Million Houses Development Program in Indonesia in Jakarta, confirming that he is ready to comply with the applicable provisions of both the Constitutional Court and the Government.

"I just follow the decision of the Constitutional Court and the Government," said Fahri, Wednesday, September 17.

However, when the media crew asked for his readiness to give up his position as commissioner of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, Fahri only stated that he was ready to follow the decisions that apply according to the law and regulations.

As the former Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI in charge of law, Fahri admitted that he really understands the legal provisions so that every step and decision taken always refers to the applicable rules.

"Whatever decision I will follow. I used to lead the Commission (III DPR RI in charge) of law. So I know the law," said Fahri.

It is known that the Constitutional Court strictly prohibits deputy ministers from holding concurrent positions as other state officials, commissioners or directors of state or private companies, or organizational leaders financed by the APBN or APBD.

The affirmation was stated in the latest decision by the Constitutional Court (MK) for Case Number 128/PUU-XXIII/2025 which was pronounced in the verdict hearing at the Plenary Court Session Room in Jakarta, Thursday (28/8) afternoon.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Fahri Hamzah filled the position of Commissioner of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) which was set based on the 2025 BBTN Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which took place at the BTN Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday (26/3).
