Before Jumping From 8th Floor Mega Glodok Kemayoran, University Student In London Was Seen Alone On A Building

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kemayoran Police is still investigating the motive for the death of NG (25) a student from England at Mega Glodok Mall, Kemayoran, Jalan Angkasa Raya, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

According to CCTV footage, as explained by the police, the victim's behavior was caught on CCTV, alone before finally jumping from the 8th floor of the mall.

"The CCTV shows him (the victim) alone above. So it is suspected that he (the victim) committed suicide," said Kemayoran Police Chief, Kompol Agung Ardiyansyah when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

In addition to checking CCTV, the police have also examined two witnesses around the scene.

"There were two witnesses who saw him (the victim of NG), (the witness) was an employee. That's right (the victim jumped from the 8th floor)," he said.

The police chief explained that the victim NG was an Indonesian student who studied at a well-known university in England.

"The victim is an Indonesian citizen. Now it is still in the process of being investigated, we have BAP witnesses. According to witnesses, they saw the (victim's) feet like that (the jump position)," he said.

The victim's cellphone that was found has also been investigated by the police. However, Kompol Agung Ardiyansyah admitted that he did not see any conversations related to the suicide victim's actions.

"There has been no (suspicious sign). Whose relationship (on the victim's cellphone) was not found, while there were no suspicious chats," he said.

Police are still looking for a motive until NG is desperate to end his life in Kemayoran. The victim is a student at a university in England.

"The alleged motive is not yet known, it is still in the process of being investigated," he said.

Previously, it was reported that NG (25), a student at the film faculty from London, England, was found dead in a pathetic manner at Mega Glodok Mall, Kemayoran, Jalan Angkasa Raya, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

The victim committed suicide by jumping from the 8th floor.

"It is suspected that he committed suicide, jumped from the 8th floor. There were also CCTV footage that was secured," said Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Agung when confirmed, Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
