The Perpetrator Of The Murder Of A Member Of The Wonosobo TNI Was Arrested While Hiding In Kepil

WONOSOBO - The perpetrator of the murder of TNI member Serda Rahman Setiawan (41) from the O707 Wonosobo Kodim, Central Java, was arrested on behalf of Iwan (35) at a hiding place in Sumpit Hamlet, Kepil Village, Kepil District, Wonosobo Regency.

Wonosobo Police Chief AKBP Kasim Akbar Bantilan said the perpetrators of the TNI killings were residents of Sedayu Village, Sapuran, Wonosobo Regency.

"Today the perpetrators of the persecution that caused the victim to die have been successfully secured. The perpetrators will be processed according to the applicable law. We are still investigating the motive," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 15.

Regarding the residents' demands, the Police Chief emphasized that his party would accommodate the aspirations of the community while the legal process was ongoing.

"What is clear is that the perpetrator must be held accountable for his actions," he said.

It is known that previously there was a dispute that led to a stabbing until the victim, who was a member of the TNI from Kodim 0707, died.

The incident occurred at Shaka's restaurant in Sapuran District on Sunday night.

The success of this arrest was greeted by hundreds of residents of Jambusari Village by visiting the Wonosobo Police Headquarters. They demanded that the perpetrator be sentenced to the fullest, even the death penalty.

"There is not the slightest room for the suspect to be released or given a light sentence. Thank God the police chief agreed, we will give a grace period of one or two days. Requesting files must be immediately transferred to the prosecutor's office with the demand for the death penalty," said a resident of Sijambu at the Wonosobo Police Headquarters Rully Khoirul Anas.
