The General Elections Commission (KPU) has decided to exclude a number of requirements documents for presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates-cawapres) as public information.
This is stated in KPU Decree NO. 731 of 2025 concerning Determination of Requirement Documents for Candidates for President and Vice President as Public Information, which is exempted by the General Elections Commission.

Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Mochammad Afifuddin emphasized that this decision was in accordance with the mandate of Article 2 paragraph (4) of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure.
"Public information that is excluded is confidential in accordance with the Law, propriety, and public interests based on testing the consequences that arise if information is given to the public and after careful consideration that closing public information can protect greater interests than opening them or vice versa," Afif explained in his statement, Monday, September 15.
However, in this decision, this public information is excluded for a period of 5 years, unless the presidential and vice-presidential candidates are willing to disclose the required documents.
"Several information on the requirements of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates have been excluded within a period of 5 years unless the secret party is disclosed giving written and/or disclosure agreement related to a person's position in public positions," Afif said.
The following are the requirements documents for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates as public information excluded by the KPU:
1. Photocopy of electronic identity cards (KTP) and photos of Indonesian citizens' birth certificates.
2. Surat keterangan catatan kepolisian (SKCK) dari Headquarters Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia.
3. Health certificate from the government hospital appointed by the General Elections Commission.
4. Certificate of receipt or proof of submission of personal assets reports to the Corruption Eradication Commission.
5. The certificate is not in a state of bankruptcy and/or has no debt responsibilities issued by the district court.
6. The statement letter is not being nominated as a member of the House of Representatives, the Regional Representative Council, and the Regional House of Representatives.
7. Photocopy of the taxpayer's main number and proof of delivery or receipt of the Annual Tax Return of Individual Taxpayers for the last 5 years.
