Transjakarta Service Corridor 5 Late Due To Fire In Senen

JAKARTA - A number of Transjakarta services in corridor 5 have been delayed due to fires that have occurred in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, since this morning. Late routes are 1P, 1R, 2P, 5C, 6H, 12B, 14B.

"The fire resulted in traffic congestion around the Banteng Square Penabur," said Head of the Public Relations Department and CSR Transjakarta Ayu Wardhani in a statement, Monday, September 15.

Transjakarta apologized for the delay in their public transportation service. "Sorry for the inconvenience," continued Ayu.

It is known that a fire hit a residential building on Jalan Pasar Senen Dalam VI, Senen District, Central Jakarta at around 02.00 WIB, Monday, early morning.

As many as 100 officers from the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) were deployed for handling.

The fire was localized at 03.45 WIB, followed by a blackout at 04.05 WIB. The fire was extinguished at 09.26 WIB.

"The alleged cause of the fire is an electrical phenomenon," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Gulkarmat Service Bayu Meghantara.

From that incident, 2 firefighters suffered injuries in the form of fractures and bruises due to the collapse of the building. They have now received treatment at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital.
