Palace Clarification Of Government Program Video Screening In Cinemas

The Palace provided clarification regarding the viral video of the achievement of President Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming's program which was screened in a number of cinemas. The video features various government priority programs, such as free nutritious meals, red and white village cooperatives, to people's schools, and was screened before the commercial film screening.

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi emphasized that video screening in public spaces is a natural thing to do as long as it does not violate the rules. He said the format for submitting government messages to the public through public media was legitimate.

"As long as it doesn't violate the rules, it doesn't interfere with comfort and beauty, then the use of public media to convey messages is certainly normal," said Prasetyo in Jakarta, Sunday, September 14.

Prasetyo emphasized that the substance of the video is more about the socialization of government programs, not political campaigns. He also ensured that the use of public spaces for public service advertising has been regulated and carried out according to procedures.

Previously, the short video circulated widely on social media and sparked debate. The narrative in the show said, "Since it was launched on January 6, 2025, the free nutritious eating program has reached 20,000,000 beneficiaries."

Related to this, the Palace asked the public not to misinterpret the message conveyed. According to Prasetyo, the government is only trying to expand information so that the public knows the benefits of the program that is already running.
