JAKARTA - The establishment of a concrete fence in Cilincing waters, North Jakarta is regretted by a number of fishermen. With the concrete wall, fishermen feel that the fishing area on the coast of Cilincing is gone.

"This is not a matter of accessing fishermen as discussed by the governor, but has entered the fishing fishing area. Annexing the fishing area," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Traditional Fisherman (KNTI), Daeng Tahir when confirmed by VOI, Friday, September 12, 2025.

Daeng Tahir explained that so far the place to look for fish that is often visited by fishermen has been lost due to the concrete fence wall on the Cilincing coast belonging to PT KCN.

"The place to look for fish is reduced, eliminated, annexed, that's the problem. This is gray with the Governor of DKI," he regretted.

The fishermen hope that the central government and local governments will provide solutions so that fishermen can still earn income, such as before the sea fence wall stands.

"Make us the solution we hope for. We will not hinder development but give us a solution first," he said.

The fishermen hope that the construction of an integrated and integrated fishing port will be equipped with an economic center.

So, continued Daeng Tahir, the economic turnover of fishermen will run at the economic center.

"So that these fishermen continue to have the power of their lives. Otherwise, we will die a long time (the fishermen cannot look for fish in Jakarta Bay)," he said.
