49 People Including Wives Examined By West Lombok Police Investigate The Death Of Brigadier Esco Faska

WEST LOMBOK - West Lombok Resort Police, West Nusa Tenggara, has examined at least 50 witnesses to the death of Brigadier Esco Faska Rely whose body was found wrapped in a rope attached neck and tied to a small tree trunk in the garden behind his house.

"A total of 50 witnesses have been examined," said Head of Sub-Directorate III Jatanras General Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police AKBP Catur Erwin Setiawan who was met at the NTB Police, Mataram, Antara, Thursday, September 11.

Of the dozens of witnesses who underwent examination before the West Lombok Police Satreskrim investigator, Catur emphasized that one of them was the wife of the deceased who was also a member of the National Police.

"The need for information from his wife is still. We have also examined the person concerned several times. Currently, he is still on duty at the West Lombok Police," he said.

Kasatreskrim West Lombok Police AKBP Lalu Eka Arya Mardiwinata who was met at the NTB Police refused to provide information.

In this case, a group of people from among the extended family of the late Brigadier Esco was also seen at around 10:00 WITA visiting the NTB Police Headquarters. They held a demonstration to ask for clarity on the handling of the case.

They conveyed the insistence that the NTB Police take over the handling of the case, considering that the wife of the deceased was also a member of the National Police who served at the West Lombok Police.

The police responded to the arrival of the mass of the action by conveying information that the investigation of this case went according to procedures. Collecting evidence to strengthen the alleged murder is the focus of the investigation.

The West Lombok Police revealed that it was determined that the handling of this case was carried out at the investigation stage from the statement of the parents of the deceased who received the Notification on the Progress of Investigation Results (SP2HP) from the West Lombok Police Number: SP2HP / 66 / IX / RES.1.7. / 2025.

In this investigation, the police have found indications of an unlawful act that led to the alleged murder of Brigadier Esco.

The police pocketed the initial evidence from the discovery of Brigadier Esco's body on Sunday (24/8) at 11.30 WITA. His body was found in a pathetic condition in the garden behind his house which is located at Nyiur Lembang Dalem Hamlet, Jembatan Hanger Village, West Lombok Regency.

Based on these findings, information quickly spread to the community to the police. Brigadier Esco's body was then evacuated and the police conducted a crime scene investigation.

The identity of Brigadier Esco was revealed from the clothes he was wearing and his belongings such as cellphones, watches to the keys to two-wheeled vehicles in his trouser bags.
