Recently Revealed, 7 Long-barreled Weapons At The Matraman Police Were Arrested By Residents, Two Were Returned

JAKARTA - The police revealed a case of looting of seven firearms during an attack and destruction by the masses at the Matraman Police Headquarters, East Jakarta on Saturday, August 30, last.

"That's right, there is a gun looting at the Matraman Police. An investigation has been carried out," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Alfian Nurrizal during a press conference at the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Monday.

Alfian explained, from the data collected, there were seven weapons that were missing, two of which had been returned by residents.

"There are seven missing and two have been returned by residents. So only five are still missing," said Alfian.

The looted weapon is a Ruger Mini long-barreled weapon. Police are still investigating the whereabouts of the weapons that have not been found.

Regarding the investigation process, said Alfian, this case was handled by the ranks of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya.

"The detailed information will be more precise later conveyed by Polda Metro Jaya, they are the ones who handle it. It seems that something has been revealed," he said.

The East Jakarta Metro Police have arrested 14 suspects in the destruction of a number of police stations in the area during the attack that took place on Saturday (30/8) in the early hours of the morning.

A total of 14 suspects have their status determined from five police reports handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, namely the East Jakarta Police Headquarters, the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters, the Cipayung Police Headquarters, the Ciracas Police Headquarters and the Jatinegara Police Headquarters.

Of the 14 suspects, there were four suspects, namely ISI (42), SES (31), FA (15) and DA (15) carrying out attacks and destruction of the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters. They were secured on September 5-6, 2025.

Then, three suspects, namely MHF (21), MAR (17), and ASA (17) carried out attacks and destruction of the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters.

Three suspects, namely NR (29), YO (21) and DDK (25) carried out attacks and destruction of the Cipayung Police Headquarters. Suspects NR (29) and YO (21) were also involved in the attack at the Ciracas Police Headquarters.

Then, the four suspects, namely AR (23), RR (27), SEP (22) and STP (24) carried out attacks and destruction of the Jatinegara Police Headquarters.

The suspects had various roles ranging from attacking with bamboo, throwing stones at the police station, and even looting.

Alfian hopes that the public can be more careful in receiving information, not easily provoked and maintaining unity, unity and security for the sake of mutual comfort.

Previously, hundreds of people attacked the East Jakarta Metro Police (Jaktim) so dozens of vehicles in the form of cars and motorbikes parked in front of the building were burned to the ground, Saturday (30/8) in the early hours of the morning.

At that time the masses came in droves and immediately threw stones at the Polres building and other hard objects.

The anarchist's actions made the situation around the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters tense. The crowd is said to have thrown Molotov many times into the area within the East Jakarta Metro Police.

In addition to the East Jakarta Metro Police, five Polsek in East Jakarta were also attacked by the masses, namely the Matraman, Makasar, Ciracas, Jatinegara and Cipayung Police.
