JAKARTA - Abdul Kadir Karding spoke about the photo of the Minister of Transportation Raja Juli Antoni playing domino with Aziz Wellang, a figure associated with a forest logging case.

Speaking in his authority as Secretary General of the KKSS he conveyed several points of clarification regarding the matter. Among them are related to domino play that occurred to Aziz Wellang's legal status.

"Monday, September 1, 2025, KKSS held meetings, regular and routine gatherings. All administrators came at that time, including Andi Rukma Nurdin and Andi Bohar (Vice Chairperson of KKSS), Azis Wellang (Deputy General Treasurer of KKSS), M Fachri (Wasekjen KKSS), Riswan (Deputy Head of the KKSS Secretariat), Abdul Rahman (KKSS Secretariat Staff) and Marwah (KKSS Secretariat Staff). ). Usually, the KKSS meeting is also filled with domino playing activities as part of the South Sulawesi culture," he said in a written statement, Sunday, September 7.

"I did plan to come and meet the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli to chat casually. At first I wanted to come to Raja Juli's place. But Raja Juli chose to come to me, "I just went to my brother's place," he continued.

Abdul Kadir then said that when he was about to go home, Raja Juli Antoni was invited to play dominoes by members of the KKSS. There were several people involved in the game.

The Secretary General of the KKSS also stated that initially he did not know Aziz Wellang's background. After receiving information and confirmation, he found out that Aziz was no longer a suspect in the forest logging case.

"When contacted by Tempo, I did not know the background of Azis Wellang, including whether there was a legal case issue or not. However, after that, I confirmed and received an explanation that Azis Wellang's status was no longer a suspect in forest logging based on the Decision of the Central Jakarta District Court Number: 13/Pid.Pra/2023/PN.Jkt.Pst and the Notice of Termination of Investigation (SP3) an. Muhammad Aziz Wellang from the Directorate General of Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement (Gakkum KLHK) based on his letter number S.01BPHLHK-IV.SWI/PPNS/02/2025 dated February 14, 2025," said Abdul Kadir Karding.
