Long Holiday, Jasamarga Implements Contraflow On The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) implemented contraflow traffic engineering following the high volume of traffic during the long holiday period of the Prophet Muhammad Shalallahahu Alaihi Wassalam (SAW) 1447 Hijri/2025.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT Ria Marlinda Paallo in her statement, said that contraflow or counter-current was applied to the discretion of the police.

Starting Friday at around 9.00 WIB, he said, contraflow will be applied on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road from KM 47 to KM 65 towards Cikampek, in order to break down or overcome traffic congestion.

"Along with the determination of contraflow, Jasamarga urges toll road users to always prioritize safety,"

"The traffic volume on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road is observed to be quite high during the long holiday period of the Prophet Muhammad SAW's Birthday. Therefore, we urge toll road users to prepare optimally before traveling," he said.

Ria also emphasized the importance of ensuring the condition of the driver and vehicle is in prime condition, checking the adequacy of power and fuel, and ensuring that the electronic money balance is sufficient for travel.

"Obey traffic signs and follow the directions of officers in the field for the convenience and safety of all," he said.

Meanwhile, to overcome the density of the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover section during the long holiday period, PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) optimizes operational services.

President Director of PT JJC Hendri Taufik said the optimization of operational services during this long holiday period began from September 5 to 7, 2025 in anticipation of a potential spike in vehicle traffic that crosses the MBZ Flyover.

"It is predicted that the number of vehicles crossing the MBZ flyover will increase rapidly, so careful preparation is needed to anticipate the density of traffic volume flows," he said.

He stated that a number of preparations had been carried out as an effort to ensure the safety and comfort of road users crossing the MBZ Flyover during the long holiday period.

In the field of maintenance, he said, by carrying out routine road maintenance work, rejuvenating street lighting and preparing sweeping officers to maintain road cleanliness.

His party also alerted toll road service officers and carried out road maintenance in the form of checking road conditions, bridges and maximum expansion joint.

Anticipating traffic density in the entry and lane of the MBZ Flyover to Cikampek is also carried out through coordination with the police regarding the plan to implement traffic engineering at density-prone points.

Then prepare strategies and efforts to accelerate the handling of disturbances in the lane and ensure that toll road service vehicles are in good condition.
