BANJARBARU - The joint SAR team found the carcass of the BK117 D3 helicopter belonging to Estindo Air on the third day in the forest area around the Mandin Damar Waterfall, Mentewe District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan Province.
The helicopter that crashed was found on Wednesday, September 3. at around 14:45 WITA.
Basarnas Operations Director Admiral Bramantyo said the first victim was found at around 15:53 WITA 100 meters from the helicopter carcass.
Another body may be in the helicopter but the team is still investigating it in the field.
