Dasco: Students Will Be Accepted By Minister Prabowo To Convey Their Aspirations Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said the government received a request from student organizations to express their aspirations directly to the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet (KMP), tomorrow.

This was conveyed by Dasco in response to BEM Nusantara which asked the leadership of the DPR to facilitate student meetings with ministers when receiving 16 student organizations in the Nusantara building, the DPR/MPR complex.

Dasco revealed that he had communicated with the government and was willing to accept students for dialogue.

"Just now we have communicated via WhatsApp with the government, friends will be accepted by the government tomorrow to convey it directly because there are several things that must be carried out in collaboration between the DPR and the government," said Dasco, Wednesday, September 3.

According to Dasco, students do need to express their aspirations directly to President Prabowo Subianto's assistants. Because, there are things that intersect with government policies.

"Like the previous formation of an investigation team and treason team. Then then the matter of the law on confiscation of assets, for example, was that," said Dasco.

"The making of laws is the DPR and the government. As well as the demands for tax reduction and several things that must be done by the government and the DPR," he added.

However, Dasco admitted that he did not know who the government representatives would receive the students' hearings. He said the Minister of State Secretary would contact further regarding this agenda.

"Earlier I contacted the Minister of State Secretary, I don't know who received it tomorrow, but the government, so they will contact me later, I don't know," he concluded.

Previously, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Archipelago asked the leadership of the DPR to facilitate dialogue between students and the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet of President Prabowo Subianto's Government.

The reason is, there are a number of demands that want to be submitted to presidential assistants regarding policies taken that trigger the anger of the people which led to demonstrations on August 25-31.

"We ask the leadership today, yesterday we carried out the action called critical Indonesia, so in fact we embraced all institutions and asked the leadership to hold a dialogue room with the ministers," he said.

"We ask for an evaluation of the Prabowo-Gibran minister as a whole and to realize social justice for all Indonesian people," he added.
