DPR Leader Promises Evaluation Of Council Performance To Kunker Efficiency, Puan Directly Leads Parliamentary Reform

JAKARTA - The leadership of the DPR promised to thoroughly evaluate the performance of council members to make efficiency in working visits in the country.

This was conveyed by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad when receiving a number of student representatives from 16 student organizations with Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal and Saan Mustopa at the Nusantara building, the DPR/MPR complex.

"We have coordinated with all DPR leaders for some time, and we have conveyed several things, firstly conducting a thorough evaluation of the allowances for council members," said Dasco, Wednesday, September 3.

"And specifically for housing allowances, it will be stopped starting August 30, 2025," he added.

Dasco said the leadership of the DPR also agreed on a moratorium on working visits or official trips abroad for members of the DPR.

"As well as efficiency in domestic work visits," he said.

Dasco said that a thorough evaluation of the performance and ethics of the members of the council will be led directly by the Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani.

"The DPR's reform will be led directly by the chairman of the DPR, Mrs. Puan Maharani, to become a better and more transparent DPR," said the daily chairman of Gerindra.

The House of Representatives invites students to have a dialogue and accept the aspirations expressed regarding the demonstration which will be held on August 25-31, 2025.

The student representatives who attended included GMNI, GMKI, KAMMI, HMI, BEM SI Kerakyatan, BEM SI Rakyat Bangkit, BEM Nusantara, BEM PTNU Se-Nusantara, PTKIN Fever All over Indonesia, BEM PTMA Zone III, GMH, BEM UPNVJ, BEM UI, Himapolindo, Trisakti University Student Presidential, and HMI DIPO.
