The Minister Of Social Affairs EMPHASIZED That Bullying Should Not OCCUR In People's Schools

Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf opened the First Junior High School 10 Bogor Regency at the Cibinong Integrated Integrated Center (STIS), Monday 14 July 2025.

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf emphasized that bullying or bullying should not occur in elementary, junior high to high school schools because it is included in the three major sins of education that must be avoided.

First, there should be no bullying from anyone to anyone. Second, there should be no physical violence or sexual violence. Third, there should be no intolerance. If there are signs, immediately report them and follow up, don't take them lightly," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 3.

He reminded school principals, dormitories guardians, and foster guardians from all over Indonesia to carry out their roles with empathy, patience, and exemplary. This is because the People's School is still in the start-up stage so that it has the potential to face many challenges.

"I want all of you to work with your heart, improve your abilities, and the most important thing is to be patient. Let's solve the problem with collaboration, coordination, discipline, and deliberation," he said.

In the dialogue session, a number of education personnel expressed their views. One of them is Silva, the foster guardian of SRMP 28 Pasuruan, who revealed the limited number of assistants in his area, while the number of students reached 50 children.

Responding to this, Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf ensured that all inputs had been recorded and the needs of human resources and infrastructure would be met gradually.

"Don't worry, salaries and allowances will definitely be accepted according to the provisions," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

He added that the working hours of the dorm guardians and foster guardians are also being regulated to be better. The government, he said, is working hard to fulfill the rights of the education staff.

Ending his directive, Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf emphasized that the guardians of dormitories and foster guardians were not just supervisors but family figures at school.

The People's School is the second home for students. Do not let the children feel alone. They must feel loved and cared for, not just accommodated," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf.
