East Jakarta Metro Police detained dozens of people related to looting at the house of a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Uya Kuya on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Dicky Fertoffan, confirmed the addition of the perpetrator.

"There have been dozens of people who have been arrested. There were two main cases that occurred that night, attacks on officers and looting," said AKBP Dicky when confirmed by VOI.

Dicky has not explained in more detail the number of perpetrators who have been named as suspects related to the incident at Uya Kuya's house.

"For the total, what will it be when it is released. This afternoon we will press it out," he said.

Kasat revealed that the motive for the looting at Uya Kuya's house was to seek personal gain.

"The motive, especially apart from making a profit, is to control the property," he said.

Meanwhile, the dozens of perpetrators who were arrested were local residents.

"There are so many local residents. We are still looking for the main provocateurs," he said.

The residence of the artist and member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PAN faction, Uya Kuya, was visited by a number of people on Saturday night, August 30, 2025.

There was a sound of the masses shouting in the forest, "Dismantling", there was also the sound of objects breaking.

The crowd that managed to break into the fence, then broke through to the second floor of Uya's house. Meanwhile, the other masses looted a number of items in the house.

The attack on Uya Kuya's house was allegedly the aftermath of the viral video of Uya dancing with other DPR members at the MPR Annual Session on August 15, 2025, plus information on the amount of their salary that sparked the anger of the people.
