North Jakarta Police Investigate Looting at House of Indonesian House of Representatives Member Ahmad Sahroni

JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Metro Police have begun investigating the perpetrators of the looting that occurred at the home of Indonesian House of Representatives member Ahmad Sahroni on Jalan Swasembada, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar, stated that so far there have been no reports of victims related to the incident.

"Although there have been no reports, we have begun an investigation," said Commissioner Onkoseno when confirmed on Monday, September 1, 2025.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit further stated that his team is currently investigating the crime that occurred at Ahmad Sahroni's home.

However, the police have not yet made any arrests.

"So far, no one has been arrested; we are still investigating," he said.

Previously, the residence of Indonesian House of Representatives member Ahmad Sahroni in Kebon Bawang, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, was raided by a mob on Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2025.

Hundreds of residents crowded the location from 3:00 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The uncontrolled situation led to the looting of items from Sahroni's home.

A television, suitcases, and even an electric car were reportedly badly damaged. Even Sahroni's Iron Man statue, reportedly worth tens of millions of rupiah, and luxury watches were looted.
