According to him, before the substantive examination, the geographical indication (IG) will be assessed by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) next week.
He said that the Ternate Pala is targeted to be a geographical indication that its existence is protected by the state, and can provide economic benefits for the community, especially spice farmers.
