JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Social Service (Dinsos) has prepared social assistance (bansos) for victims of demonstrations, both victims who were declared dead and those being treated at health facilities in Jakarta.

This was conveyed by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Social Service, Iqbal Akbarudin, on Saturday, August 30.

Iqbal stated that his party continues to coordinate with the DKI Jakarta Health Office to get a list of names and addresses of victims of demonstrations.

"Of course, Social Service is present. We provide social assistance and psychosocial assistance for victims of demonstrations," said Iqbal in Jakarta, Saturday, August 30.

"The assistance is in the form of preparing basic needs for victims and their families, considering the current condition of a number of victims cannot be optimally active again and has an impact on meeting family needs," he said.

Iqbal explained that social assistance will be given to victims with DKI Jakarta ID cards. He said that DKI Jakarta Social Service officers will conduct a home visit to ensure data accuracy. If verified and accurate, social assistance will be given immediately.

"We ensure that the social assistance provided can be right on target. We have distributed social assistance to residents in West Jakarta and South Jakarta, following in other areas. Hopefully this assistance can ease the burden on the victims and their families," explained Iqbal.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government invites the entire community to be with #JagaJakarta. Let's keep each other safe and comfortable for all public spaces. If you find an emergency situation, you need quick treatment, or want to submit a report, immediately contact 112 (free and 24 hours ready to serve) or the JAKI application.
