Clashes Broke, Police Fired Water Cannon And Water Gas At Masses In Front Of The DPR Building

JAKARTA Clashes broke out again between the security forces and the demonstrators in front of the DPR RI Building, Thursday (28/8/2025) afternoon at around 15.15 WIB.

Police officers fired water cannon to repulse the masses. Reports at the location said that the splashed water felt sore on the skin. A number of media crews covering on the right side of Pancoran were also hit by bursts. Two water cannon cars were alerted outside the DPR complex.

In addition, the authorities also fired tear gas at the crowd. Meanwhile, from the demonstrators, the masses responded by throwing stones at the officers.

Clashes continued, with the authorities intensely spraying water into the crowd until around 15.27 WIB managed to push the crowd back towards the Spark Mall area.

"Preparatory troops are moving forward. Troops are enthusiastic. Go forward," said the police in the command car.

Until this news was revealed, the situation around the DPR RI Building was still tense and the clashes between the authorities and the mass of the action had not subsided.
