JAKARTA - The Cariu Police in Bogor Regency have evacuated the body of an adult woman found in the Cibeet River, Bantarkuning Village, Cariu District, Bogor Regency.
"After receiving information from witnesses, officers on duty at the Cariu Police immediately went to the location and found the victim lying face down, caught in rocks," said Cariu Police Chief, Commissioner Agus Hidayat, in Bogor on Wednesday, as reported by Antara.
Agus said that a local resident noticed the body and reported it around 4:30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time on Tuesday, August 26. Officers and residents then went to the scene to evacuate the body.
He explained that the victim was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and black pants.
The victim was later identified as Euis, a resident of Cieksel Hamlet, Selawangi Village, Tanjungsari District, Bogor Regency.
The body is currently being held at a health facility for further examination.
