Mass Shooting At US Minneapolis Catholic School, 2 Killed, Dozens Injured

JAKARTA - Mass shooting at an Annication Catholic school in Minneapolis, United States, resulted in 2 deaths. Dozens were reported injured.

Local authorities said the conditions were under control. Meanwhile, a number of sources told ABC News that the suspect in the shooting was suspected of committing suicide.

Students from pre-TK to eighth grade attended there. Little children wearing school uniforms were seen leaving school hand in hand with their parents.

"I pray for our children and teachers whose first week of school was damaged by this horrific act of violence," wrote Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, on social media, Wednesday, August 27.

Walz said state authorities were at the scene. Agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded.

The occupant of the house near the school, Brian Leege, admitted that he heard dozens of shots for two to three minutes.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump wrote in Truth Social that he had received a complete report on the tragic shooting.

"The White House will continue to monitor this dire situation. Let's join me in praying for all those involved!" he wrote.
