18,489 Palestinian Students Killed In Israeli Attacks

JAKARTA - The number of Palestinian students who died as a result of the Israeli attack reached more than 18,400 people, while the injured students reached more than 28,800 people.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education revealed 18,489 students were killed and 28,854 injured since the start of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on October 7.

The Ministry of Education clarified in a statement on Tuesday that the number of students killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the aggression had reached 18,346, while the injured had reached 27,884 people, quoted from WAFA Aug. 27.

While in the West Bank, 143 students were killed, 970 students were injured and 740 other students were detained, the ministry continued.

Furthermore, the ministry indicated that 970 teachers and administrators were killed, 4,533 others were injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and more than 199 others were arrested in the West Bank.

The ministry also noted that 160 public schools were completely destroyed in the Gaza Strip, in addition to 63 university buildings. A total of 118 public schools and 93 UNRWA schools were bombed and damaged, while occupational aggression left a total of 25 schools and teachers removed from the education list.

While in the West Bank, 152 schools were damaged and 8 universities and universities were targeted by raids and vandalism repeatedly.

As a result of attacks on universities and universities in the West Bank, all lectures there have been transferred to online lectures due to the current situation.
