JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya arrested 351 people related to a demonstration in the DPR/MPR area which ended in chaos. From a series of examinations, seven of them were proven to have consumed drugs.
"Against the 351 people who were arrested, a urine test was also carried out. Yes, with the result that there were 7 positive people," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Tuesday, August 26.
Of the seven people, most of them tested positive for consuming narcotics of the type of methamphetamine. While others are called positive benzoat.
Benzoat is known to be a substance contained in drugs.
"6 of them contain substances related to methamphetamine, then 1 person whose urine contains substances related to benzoat," he said.
The seven people are said to be adults. So, after the data collection process, the handling will be delegated from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation to the Directorate of Drug Investigation.
"Furthermore, our colleagues from the Directorate of Drug Investigation will follow up on follow-up according to the applicable SOP based on the facts found," said Ade.
