Tebet Sub-district Head Collects Evidence Of Beating South Manggarai Village Head In Slipi

The Head of Tebet Sub-district, South Jakarta, Dyan Airlangga, gathered supporting evidence related to the beating of the South Manggarai Village Head, Muhammad Sidik and his driver, Asep Yudiana during a demonstration in front of the Indonesian Parliament Building.

The beating took place on Jalan KS Tubun, Slipi, West Jakarta, on Monday, August 25, last night, at 18.30 WIB.

"We are currently collecting supporting evidence," said Dyan, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, August 26.

Dyan said, from the supporting data, his party would later report it to the leadership.

Regarding the chronology, Dyan said, at the time of the incident the village head was on his way home.

When crossing the demonstrators just because the car had a red plate, the car was finally damaged by the crowd. It happened quickly.

"When at that location, it turned out that there were still many demonstrators and it happened quickly. So it was immediately because the red plate was the target," he said.

From this incident, his party together with related elements have taken the car that was damaged and has been taken to a safer place.
