JAKARTA - A large motorbike rider was beaten by a mob of demonstrators while crossing Jalan Palmerah Timur, Palmerah, West Jakarta, last Monday, August 25, 2025.

The victim was the target of the mob's tantrum because it burst the sound of his motorbike exhaust in the middle of traffic jams and crowds.

The furious crowd over the behavior of the motorbike rider immediately ganged up on him until he was battered.

"So initially the victim had a motorbike, which provoked the anger of the residents. He was immediately beaten," said Amin (46), a cigarette trader around the location, Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Meanwhile, his motorbike was also damaged by the mob by being trampled on and beaten. Even though the motorbike that had fallen had been marginalized, the furious crowd continued to damage the motorbike.

"The situation was chaotic yesterday. The driver was alone riding a motorcycle," he said.

Luckily, the mob's tantrum was successfully dispersed by ojol and other motorists around the location.

The victim was then secured in one of the buildings, then taken to a nearby hospital because he suffered a number of injuries.

Meanwhile, the victim's motorbike has also been secured by the owner. The case is handled by the West Jakarta Metro Police.
