As A Result Of The Demo In The DPR, A Number Of Transjakarta Routes Were Diverted

PT Transjakarta diverted a number of bus routes due to demonstrations in front of the DPR RI building which closed Jalan Gatot Subroto towards Slipi.

"Koridor 9, Route 1W, 3F, 9A, 10H, T31 and S61 experienced route diversion due to road closures around the MPR/DPR Building," wrote Transjakarta's statement on the X account @PT_Transjakarta, Monday, August 25.

Meanwhile, the Transajkarta service towards Pluit does not serve the Youth Gate Stop and Petamburan Bus Stop.

"Sorry for the inconvenience," continued Transjakarta's statement.

The police repulsed the masses who carried out the action in front of the DPR/MPR Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday, August 25. In this case, the Mass demanded that the fantastic allowances for DPR members be rejected.

The beginning of the action was cool and heated up. According to VOI monitoring in the field, the majority of the action masses were STM students. They initially gathered in front of the DPR/MPR Building.

At a short time, the masses then came to the police officers who had made barricades in the direction of Slipi Station. Five minutes later, the crowd began throwing plastic bottles and attacking barricades.

The police barikade then responded with a water canon spray. The crowd withdrew towards the Youth Gate, some of which climbed the JPO which was on the spot. Stone rain and also beams occurred when the police tried to sterilize the action route.

The police then sterilized the JPO by asking the masses to leave and while continuing to push the masses towards Gebang Pemuda.

"Come on, this action is no longer expressing opinions but has been damaged," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo from the command car.

A number of mass actions, until this news was revealed, continued to be pushed back to Senayan Park.
