President Prabowo Inaugurates Eddy Hartono as Head of BNPT and Suyudi Ario Seto as Head of BNN

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto led the swearing-in ceremony for a number of agency heads and the Supreme Court (ANTARA)

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated and administered the oath of office to Commissioner General Eddy Hartono as Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday morning, and Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto as Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

The appointment of Commissioner General Eddy as the new Head of BNPT and the dismissal of Commissioner General Rycko were stipulated by President Prabowo in Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 117/TPA of 2025 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of High-Ranking Positions within the National Counterterrorism Agency.

In the central room of the State Palace today, the new Head of BNPT was inaugurated along with several other new officials, including Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto as Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

In addition, Vice Admiral (Ret.) Didit Herdiawan Ashaf was appointed as Head of the North Java Coast Management Authority Agency; Darwin Trisna Djajawinata and Suhajar Diantoro were appointed as Deputy Heads of the North Java Coast Management Authority Agency; Brian Yuliarto was appointed Head of the Mineral Industry Agency; and Suharto was appointed Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs.

During the inauguration ceremony, the new Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) took his oath, along with other new officials, led by President Prabowo.

"I swear by God that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will strictly enforce all laws and regulations, in my service to the nation and state. In carrying out my duties, I will uphold the highest ethics of office, work to the best of my ability, with a full sense of responsibility," read the oath of office taken by the new Head of the BNPT and other officials inaugurated by President Prabowo today.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, Police Commissioner General Eddy signed the minutes of the ceremony alongside President Prabowo. After all the new officials signed the minutes, President Prabowo then shook hands with them one by one.

At the event, President Prabowo was accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, including Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid, Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, and Culture Minister Fadli Zon.

Then there were also the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani, Chairman of the DPD RI Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) M. Herindra, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General TNI Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of Police General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
