Bantul Police Deploy 500 Personnel To Secure PSIM Yogyakarta Vs Persib Bandung Match This Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Bantul Resort Police (Polres) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has placed personnel at several points in the Sultan Agung Stadium (SSA) Bantul area to secure a soccer match between PSIM Yogyakarta and Persib Bandung at the stadium on Sunday, August 24 afternoon.

Bantul Police Chief AKBP Novita Eka Sari said that 500 joint personnel had been alerted to secure football matches in the BRI Super League 2025 competition.

"Joint personnel come from the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Satbrimobda, Bantul Police and ranks. They are placed at several points in the Sultan Agung Stadium area, starting from the entrance, the location of the match, to the area around the stadium," he said in a statement in Bantul, Sunday, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, in addition to providing a sense of security to the players, officials, committees, and spectators, the security personnel deployed are also tasked with regulating the flow of traffic to and around the location of the match in order to provide smooth running.

However, his party also appealed to supporters of the two teams not to carry prohibited items such as firecrackers, flares (flares), sharp weapons, or alcoholic beverages into the stadium.

"We urge all parties to maintain security and order at the location of the match," he said.

He also hopes that supporters who watch football matches can keep the atmosphere conducive, remain polite and do not experience anarchism or destruction of public facilities.

The police also appealed to football spectators not to carry out convoys or processions in motorized vehicles after the match.

"You ask fellow supporters not to disturb order or create traffic jams by convoying after the match, always maintaining order until the end," he said.

The police chief said that due to the match, traffic flow arrangements would be carried out situationally around the Sultan Agung Stadium area to anticipate congestion.

"For road users to find alternative routes and avoid the area around the stadium during the match," he said.
