Pangkalpinang KPU Orders The Regional Head Elections APK Ahead Of The Calm Period

PANGKALPINANG - General Election Commission (KPU) of Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, brought order to the re-voting campaign props (APK) for the Election of Candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Pangkalpinang on Wednesday 27 August.

"Today we are controlling, all APKs are put in order," said the head of the Pangkalpinang City KPU, Sobarian, quoted by ANTARA Pangkalpinang, Sunday, August 24.

He said the control of the APK during the calm period of the Re-Pilkada for the Election of Candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Pangkalpinang was based on PKPU 13 of 2024 Article 28 paragraph 5 emphasized that the APK must be cleaned no later than three days before the voting day.

"The calm period of this birthday regional election starts on Sunday (24/8) to Tuesday (26/8) and all APKs must be clean during this quiet period," he said.

He stated that during this quiet period, the KPU had held a coordination meeting with LO candidate pairs, Pangkalpinang City Government, providers, Pangkalpinang City Police, and Pangkalpinang City Bawaslu and agreed to control starting on Sunday (24/8).

"The control of the APK involves 20 people in each sub-district in which there are elements of KPU, PPK, PPS, POL PP, and Kesbangpol Pangkalpinang City," he said.

He said that the control of the APK was also based on the KPU Decree Number 1363 concerning the Cleaning of the APK carried out by candidate pairs, political parties participating in the General Election or a combination of political parties participating in the election and or campaign teams.

"All APKs facilitated by the KPU are brought under control by both banners on social media, radio electronic media, and print media," he said.

"He hopes that the public can exercise their voting rights on Wednesday (27/8) at the TPS, and for all participants and support teams, they can appreciate this quiet period by complying with applicable rules," he said.
