JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung targets the number of students from Jakarta who receive the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) to increase compared to this year which reached 16 thousand people.

"We distributed KJMU to 16,979 students in Jakarta who are undergoing higher education and this must of course be added," Pramono said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, August 23.

He emphasized that this card is not only intended for undergraduate students in strata one (S1) but also undergraduate students in strata two (S2) and strata three (S3) or doctoral.

According to Pramono, the number of recipients is not much and in the future it will be increased even more. Jakarta children who receive this card and have a GPA 3 and undergo good education can continue to a higher level.

"Students who are undergoing good education can automatically continue to the Master's degree to the doctoral degree," he said.

The governor invited DKI Jakarta residents who really need assistance for higher education to apply as recipients of this card so that they can get tuition assistance.

In addition, Pramono specifically asked the Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office to prepare the KJMU scheme, such as scholarships for the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) so that Jakarta children can later receive education abroad.

"For those who want to go to school abroad, we will give them the opportunity," he said.
