6.5 Ha Land In West Aceh Fires, BPBD Still Trying To Extinguish

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Aceh Regency is still trying to extinguish the fire on the land of the local community, which now has an area of 6.5 hectares.

"Efforts to extinguish the fire are still being carried out in the field," said Acting Head of West Aceh BPBD, Teuku Ronal Nehdiansyah in Meulaboh quoting Antara.

There is also the location of the burned land, each of which is Alue On Village - Puuk Village, Kaway XVI District, West Aceh Regency with a burned area of around 2.5 Ha.

Then the area of land burned in Deda Keub, Arongan Lambalek District, West Aceh Regency is around 4 Ha.

Teuku Ronal said the development of the fire extinguishing in Alue On-Village Puuk Village, Kaway XVI District, West Aceh Regency has so far reached 95 percent and has been successfully extinguished.

Meanwhile, the handling of land fires in Keub Village, Arongan Lambalek District, West Aceh Regency which has been handled has reached 75 percent.

Teuku Ronal said the impact of land fires in West Aceh Regency had disrupted community activities, as well as damage to forest ecosystems and the loss of biodiversity.

"The land fire in West Aceh has also caused respiratory problems (ARI)," said Teuku Ronal.
