JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the examination of the Regent of Pati Sudewa alias Sudewo today, August 22. He was worked on in connection with the alleged bribery of the construction of a railway line at the Director General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).
"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Friday, August 22.
Budi did not specify the material that investigators would investigate from Sudewo. He is only said to be examined as a witness.
"The KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses of alleged corruption related to the procurement of railroad construction in the Central Java/Solo Balapan Region, within the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) RI for the 2018-2022 Fiscal Year," he said.
The anti-corruption commission previously agreed that Sudewo had returned the money he received related to the alleged DJKA bribery. However, this return does not mean that he is forgiven.
