JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the detention of the Secretary General of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, had not been carried out because there were documents that needed to be completed. This process is so that auditors can complete the calculation of state losses.

"The case related to the Secretary General of the DPR, we are completing it. We are completing the documents for calculating the state's losses," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the DPR building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 20.

The determination of the suspect Indra Iskandar is known to have used an investigation warrant (sprindik) issued last year or during Firli Bahuri's leadership before being replaced by Nawawi Pomolango. However, he has not been officially announced.

Meanwhile, Indra Iskandar filed a pretrial lawsuit in May 2024 after being named a suspect. However, he withdrew it and was granted the South Jakarta District Court (PN).

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

The modes that occur in this case are violations of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services and budget inflations or mark-ups. The official residences whose contents are corrupted are located in Kalibata and Ulujami, South Jakarta.
