Investigating Allegations Of Corruption PMT Toddlers-Pregnant Women, KPK Says There Is A Decreased Quality Ofcouples

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the investigation into corruption in the procurement of additional food programs (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women for the 2016-2020 period was still being carried out. It is suspected that there was a decline in quality, one of which was the biscuits distributed.

"Initial findings, from the KPK saw allegations of a decline in quality from the production of biscuits for toddlers," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters quoted on Wednesday, August 20.

"Where the nutritional level is so reduced than it should be," he continued.

Budi also said that there was occupancy in the process of procuring this additional food. "Which later could result in state financial losses or later we will see again what the alleged articles are like," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK confirmed that it was investigating allegations of corruption related to the procurement of additional food (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women. The process is said to be carried out by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).

"The related corruption crime is still being investigated," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday night, July 17.

Asep did not want to elaborate on the investigation. This is because this activity is usually closed and only conveyed when it goes up to the investigation stage.

However, based on information collected, the investigation was carried out in early 2024. This alleged rasuah is allegedly rolling in 2016-2020.

The PMT program for toddlers and pregnant women is an effort to improve their nutritional status so as to reduce stunting or tengkes. The form is in the form of biscuits, milk, eggs, and other nutritious foods.

Regarding this investigation, the Ministry of Health said it would respect the ongoing legal process. Head of the Communication and Public Service Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Aji Muharwan, also emphasized that the alleged corruption was not in the era of the Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
