Norwegian Princess's Son Involved in 4 Rape Cases, Filming Women's Genitals Without Permission

JAKARTA - The son of the Norwegian Crown Princess, Marius Borg Hoiby, has been charged with raping four women.

According to AN, Tuesday, August 19, Public Prosecutor Sturla Henriksbo stated that the 28-year-old suspect is also accused of several acts of violence.

Hoiby, born before Crown Princess Mette-Marit married Crown Prince Haakon, was arrested on August 4 to facilitate the investigation of this case.

Henriksbo stated that Hoiby is accused of raping four different women while they were sleeping.

The three victims raped by the son of the Norwegian Crown Princess reportedly initially had consensual sex, but later filed rape reports with the police.

Hoiby is also accused of filming the victims' genitals without their consent. Henriksbo said investigators have video recordings and photographs as evidence.

The four rapes allegedly occurred in 2018, 2023, and 2024, the last after the police investigation began.

Other charges against Hoiby include domestic violence against his ex-partner and several counts of battery, disturbing the peace, vandalism, and violating a restraining order against another ex-partner.

The only victim prosecutors have publicly identified is Hoiby's ex-girlfriend, Nora Haukland, who reported physical and psychological abuse to authorities in 2022 and 2023.

"The abuse included repeated beatings to Hoiby's face, including with clenched fists, choking him, kicking him, and grabbing him violently," Henriksbo said.
