JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially opened the Jakarta Jobfest 2025 at the Jakarta International Velodrome in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Tuesday, August 19th.

Pramono stated that the high unemployment rate was the reason the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI) held Jobfest and several job fairs throughout this year.

"One of the serious problems currently is the highly sought-after job vacancies, not only in Jakarta but also in other areas outside Jakarta. Jakarta is opening up opportunities for anyone to find work," Pramono said.

He instructed his staff to ensure that the recruitment process for Jobfest 2025 is conducted transparently and provides the widest possible opportunities for job seekers.

Job fairs have been held in Jakarta 13 times this year. The target is to hold 21 job fairs by the end of 2025.

"If there are still not enough, I will ask the heads of departments to increase the number," Pramono said.

Jakarta Jobfest 2025 was attended by 37 companies offering approximately 2,000 job openings. The event took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 19–20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time.

Throughout this year, 405 companies participated in the job fair series in Jakarta, with over 3,700 applicants. Of these, 1,450 people were successfully hired.
