JAKARTA - The joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team coordinated by the Cilacap Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas) found the body of a boy who drowned in the Serayu River, Maos Lor Village, Cilacap Regency, Central Java. The victim on behalf ofputia Aulia Nisa (6) was found dead.

"The victim's body was found at 09.20 WIB as far as 7.5 kilometers from the scene to the downstream of the river," said the Coordinator of the Joint SAR Team, Nurul Fauzan, in Cilacap, Antara, Friday, August 13.

After being evacuated to the mainland,tipea's body was taken to the funeral home in Maos Lor Village, RT 02 RW 01, Maos District, Cilacap, for further treatment.

The head of the Cilacap Basarnas, M Abdullah, explained that the incident began when the victim played with his colleague on the Serayu River last Wednesday at around 16.00 WIB.

"Not long after, the victim swam, then drowned. The victim's parents reported to the Maos Police Bhabinkamtibmas, who forwarded the information to the Cilacap Basarnas at 18.50 WIB," Abdullah said.

Basarnas immediately dispatched a team to the scene to find and help victims. The search involved the Maos Police, Maos Koramil, village officials, and the local community.

"With the discovery of the victim's body, the SAR operation was declared complete and all elements involved were returned to their respective units," Abdullah said.
