Dragged In Sritex Credit Corruption Case, Iwan Kurniawan: I Only SIGNed It On Order

JAKARTA - Former Deputy President Director of PT Sritex Tbk, Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto denied being involved in the alleged corruption case of lending to PT Sritex and its subsidiary.

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) is officially known to have named Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto as a suspect in the alleged corruption case.

"I am not involved in this case," said Iwan, quoted on Thursday, August 14.

Not only that, Iwan also emphasized that his actions in signing a letter of credit by a regional bank to a company that has been conditioned was not his initiative. Because, everything is on the orders of the President Director (presdir).

"I signed the document on the order of the presdir," said Iwan.

Based on the results of the AGO's investigation, Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto is said to have signed a credit agreement deed with Bank BJB in 2020, which is realized that its designation is not in accordance with the deed of credit agreement that has been signed.

Finally, Iwan signed several applications for disbursement or credit withdrawals to Bank BJB in 2020 by attaching evidence of invoices or invoices that were allegedly fictitious.

Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office, Nurcahyo, Junkung Madyo, said that the state's financial losses due to this case are estimated at IDR 1,088,650,808,028.00.

"Currently in the process of calculating the Indonesian Financial Audit Agency (BPK)," he said.

The article alleged against Iwan is Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
