JAKARTA - Heavy rains that flushed West Jakarta and its surroundings caused North Sukabumi Village to be flooded as high as 30 cm on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, afternoon.

"A 30-cm high puddle hit 1 RT in North Sukabumi Village, West Jakarta," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan when confirmed by VOI.

Floods occurred due to high rainfall on Tuesday afternoon.

"The cause of the inundation was due to the overflow of the Secretariat River and high rainfall," he said.

In addition to inundation in the North Sukabumi Village area, West Jakarta, the DKI Jakarta BPBD stated that the inundation that occurred on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir Village, South Jakarta, had receded.

"The puddle on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir Village, South Jakarta has receded," he said.

Currently, the DKI Jakarta BPBD is still deploying personnel to monitor inundation conditions in every area in Jakarta.

"We have coordinated with elements from the Natural Resources Office, the Highways Office, the Gulkarmat Service to conduct inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly," he said.

Inundation is targeted to recede in a short time. BPBD DKI appealed to the public to be aware of potential inundation.
