JAKARTA - The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, attended the 2025 Military Operations and Honorary Forces Ceremony which was held at the Kopassus Education Center, Batujajar, West Java this morning, Sunday 10 August. During the procession, President Prabowo Subianto acted as the ceremony inspector.

This ceremony is part of a series of inaugurations of the Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces as well as the inauguration and inauguration of the three elite TNI troops, namely Kopassus, Marine Corps, and Kopasgat. Also present at the apple were TNI Commander General Agus Subianto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.

Meanwhile, Pangkostrad Lt. Gen. Mohammad Fadjar acted as the commander of the TNI's Operational and Military Honorary Forces Ceremony ceremony.

Puan came wearing a striped uniform to enter the transit room before heading to the main area of the ceremony. He was greeted by the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

In the seating arrangement, Puan sits next to President Prabowo in line with the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani and the Chairman of the DPD RI Sultan B. Najamudin. Puan participated in the procession until it was over, including standing up while saluting when there was a defile of TNI troops.

Puan expressed her hope that the inauguration of the new ranks of the TNI will further strengthen internal solidity and increase readiness to face various national defense challenges, both from within the country and global dynamics.

"With the inauguration of the new TNI leadership, I hope that the TNI will be more solid, professional, and ready to face various challenges," said Puan as written in an official statement, August 10.

"In a global situation that is increasingly filled with conflict, the TNI must be at the forefront of being alert but still prioritizing the spirit of peace," continued the first woman who served as Chair of the DPR RI.

At the series of ceremonies for the TNI's Operational and Military Honorary Forces, President Prabowo inaugurated the Deputy Commander of the TNI, General Tandyo Budi Revita, who graduated from the Military Academy in 1991. Prior to his inauguration as Deputy TNI Commander, Tandyo Budi Revita served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (AD) with the rank of Lt. Gen.

President Prabowo also inaugurated Major General TNI (Mar) Endi Supardi, who previously served as Marine Commander (Dankormar), as Commander of the Marine Corps (Pangkormar). Then Marshal Muda (Marsda) Deny Muis, who previously served as Commander of the Rapid Action Forces (Dankopasgat), was appointed Commander in Chief as Commander of the Kopasgat Corps (Pangkorpasgat). Meanwhile, Marsdya Andyawan Martono was appointed Pangkohanudnas.

There were also the inauguration of six new Kodams with the inauguration of their commanders, then the inauguration of the Navy Regional Command, Air Force Regional Command, Air Operations Command, Kopassus Group, Development Territorial Infantry Brigade, Development Territorial Battalion, Marine Infantry Battalion and Kopasgat Command Battalion.

Puan emphasized that the strength of the TNI does not only lie in technology or weapons forces. According to him, the dedication and integrity of the soldiers who maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia is also a strength for the institution.

"The military force is not only determined by defense equipment, but also by the integrity and spirit of service of soldiers to the nation and state. We must ensure that the TNI remains an institution that is trusted by the people," said Puan.

The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture added that the Indonesian House of Representatives will continue to support the TNI in strengthening the defense sector. Puan said this was done according to the duties and authorities of the DPR in the function of legislation, budgeting, and supervision.

"Strengthening the defense sector is a common priority. The Indonesian House of Representatives will continue to be present to support the TNI through the legislative, budget and supervision work," said Bung Karno's grandson.

Furthermore, Puan also expressed her appreciation and hope to the high-ranking TNI officials who had just been inaugurated.

"I congratulate the Deputy Commander of the TNI, the Pangdam, and the main command leadership who today received a new mandate. Hopefully, they can carry out the mandate with full dedication and maintain the honor of the TNI in every step," concluded Puan.
