Glenny Kairupan And 5 Other Retireds Awarded The Rank Of Lieutenant General Of Honor

Six retired TNI generals were awarded the 3-star Honorary General. This award was held at the 'Military Operational and Honorary Forces' event at the Kopassus Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, West Bandung, Sunday, August 8, 2025 (Doc Puspen TNI)

A total of six retired TNI generals were awarded the 3-star Honorary General. The award was held at the 'Military Operations and Honorary Forces' event at the Kopassus Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, West Bandung.

In Puspen TNI's YouTube show, Sunday, August 10, the awarding ceremony was attended by President Prabowo Subianto directly.

The retired TNI generals who received the awarding of 3-star Honorary Generals were Major General Suhartono Suratman, Marsda (ret) Bambang Eko Suhariyanto, Major General (Ret.) Chairawan, Major General (Ret.) Musa Bangun, Major General (Ret.) Glenny Kairupan, and Major General (Ret.) Tony SB Hoesodo.

They appear to be wearing green TNI military uniforms. In addition, their respective units were also attached to their heads when they were still active. Prabowo also gave a single sign of a star to each of them. Prabowo attached the star directly to their uniform.

That way, the six people now have the rank of Lieutenant General (Respect) of the TNI.

The following are the considerations of granting the rank of general of honor to star 3:

1. Suhartono Suratman: A graduate of the 1975 Military Academy, is appreciated for his outstanding services 2. Bambang Eko Suhariyanto: Graduate of the 1987 Career Soldier Officer School, expert in the field of law 3. Chairawan: Acmil 1980 Graduate. Successful in every operation assignment 4. Musa Bangun: Graduated from Military Academy 1983, successful in every operational assignment, especially the operation to release Indonesian citizens hostage 5. Glenny Kairupan: Admil Graduate 1973. Served in East Timor Operation 6. Tonny SB Hoesodo: Acmil Graduate 1977.
