Sinte Production Students In Garut, Buy Narcotics Liquid Via Instagram Mixed With Tobacco

GARUT - Police arrested a student suspected of abusing and distributing synthetic tobacco or sinte narcotics in the Karangpawitan area, Garut Regency, West Java.

"The police confiscated a number of evidences in the form of synthetic tobacco packages ready for distribution, production equipment to cellphones used for transactions," said Head of the Garut Police Narcotics Investigation Unit AKP Usep Sudirman in Garut, Friday, confiscated by Antara.

He said that his staff received reports from the public that the circulation of synthetic tobacco was being sold to be misused in order to get the effects of fun.

The results of the investigation, he said, finally a team from the Garut Police Narcotics Investigation Unit succeeded in arresting the maker, believes that the initials AFI (24), who is a student with the status of a resident of Karangpawitan District, Garut.

Police conducted a search of the suspect who found eight packages of synthetic tobacco, a mixture of narcotic liquid, then food dyes, alcohol, digital scales, plastic clips, and other equipment purchased in the online market.

"The perpetrator got the narcotic liquid by buying it through his Instagram account, the liquid was then mixed with tobacco for his own consumption, and traded," he said.

Usep revealed the results of a temporary examination of the suspect that he had produced and sold the synthetic tobacco several times targeting a number of people in the Garut area.

The investigative team, he said, is still continuing to deepen to thoroughly uncover its supplier network so that there is no longer the circulation of wasteful goods in the Garut area.

"We will continue to develop this case to break the chain of narcotics trafficking in the Garut area," he said.

As a result of his actions, the suspect is now languishing in the Garut Police Detention Center and is charged with Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 113 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph 2 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of maximum life imprisonment.
