JAKARTA - The Public Company of the Logistics Affairs Agency (Perum Bulog) reported that rice food assistance for the period June and July 2025, until 2 August had been distributed 270,000 tons.

The Head of Bulog for the Jakarta Region, Bambang Prihatmoko, said that Bulog received an assignment for rice food assistance by the government for the allocation in June and July, which was given on one occasion, where each PBP received 10 kg of rice per allocation, or a total of 20 kg per PBP.

"The realization of the distribution of rice food assistance in 2025 as of August 2, 2025 is 270,000 tons, or as much as 73.96 percent of the total 365,000 tons ceiling," he said in an official statement, Sunday, August 3.

Bambang stated that Bulog is targeting to distribute rice food assistance to more than 18.2 million beneficiaries throughout Indonesia.

Bambang said the data on recipients of rice food assistance came from the Ministry of Social Affairs which was submitted by the National Food Agency (Bapanas) to Bulog.

"Food assistance is part of thickening government social assistance to maintain the economic stability of low-income people and reduce the rate of food inflation, especially rice," he explained.

As for the Stableized Rice Supply and Food Price (SPHP), continued Bambang, the distribution of SPHP in the period from July to December 2025 is targeted to be distributed at 1.3 million tons.

He said the distribution was carried out through several schemes, namely retail traders in the people's market, Village Cooperatives or Red and White Villages (KDKMP), Regional Government through food outlets assisted and GPM.

SOE outlets (BULOG, IDFood, PT Pos Indonesia, PT Perkebunan Nusantara and Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company), Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK), modern retail stores or supermarkets, and Government Agencies such as the TNI and POLRI through Cooperatives or GPM.

"SPHP rice throughout 2025 to August 2, 2025 has been distributed more than 189,000 tons," he said.
