The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) received a report from the NTB Corruption Watch (NCW) Non-Governmental Organization (NG) regarding allegations of illegal marine reclamation and construction of unlicensed piers in the Gili Gede tourist area, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency.
Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Supardin, confirmed that the report had been entered through the One Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) of the NTB Prosecutor's Office.
"Currently, the report is still in the correspondence section. Later, it will be forwarded to the special intelligence or criminal field (pidsus), waiting for instructions from the Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office," Supardin said when confirmed in Mataram, Antara, Monday, July 28.
In his report, NCW Chair Fathurrahman Lord mentioned allegations of sea reclamation that were carried out without legal permission, including the construction of a number of piers on the coast of Sekotong Barat Village.
The sea reclamation area that we report reaches at least four are. Not only does it not have a clear legal basis, we also suspect the involvement of unscrupulous officials in this process," said Fathurrahman.
He explained that the reclamation does not have a legal basis in the form of a location permit from the NTB Marine and Fisheries Service (DKP), documents on suitability of sea space utilization activities (KKPRL), as well as environmental approvals such as AMDAL or UKL-UPL.
"In fact, we received information about the issuance of property rights certificates (SHM) on marine reclamation land. This is what we suspect involves land mafias within the scope of local governments," he said.
NCW also highlighted the construction of a number of piers as access to Gili Gede which were deemed not to have a building permit (IMB) or building approval. They assess that this construction has not fulfilled the obligation of environmental documents.
"This could violate Article 36 paragraph (1) of Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management (PPLH), which states that every activity that must have an AMDAL or UKL-UPL must have an environmental permit," said Fathurrahman.
According to him, NCW has included a number of supporting documents in the report. The documents include reclamation data and the construction of a dock that was allegedly carried out without official permission.
