Emirates Group Plans To Recruit 17,000 Staff In Various Parts Of The World

JAKARTA - The Emirates Group, which includes Emirates airlines and land service units, plans to recruit 17,300 people in 350 positions this year to support operational expansion and strengthen capabilities in the future.

Hundreds of recruits are being sought for various positions including cabin crew, pilots, technicians, commercial and sales teams, customer service, land services, catering, information technology, human resources to finance, the company said.

Emirates posted a profit after tax of 19.06 billion UAE dirhams (Rp4,895,094,429,358) for the financial year ending in March, an increase of 10.6 percent on an annual basis, as long-distance travel demand remains strong despite geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty.

Revenue rose 6 percent to 127.9 billion UAE dirhams as the airline carried more than 53.6 million passengers during the fiscal year.

This is the third year in a row that the company recorded a record profit, which benefited from increased travel demand and lower fuel costs.

Emirates also said it would provide a 22-week bonus to eligible employees after posting a profit record.
