Obey Jokowi, PSI Jakarta Promises To Watch The APBD

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Jakarta Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Elva Farhi Qolbina, said his party would comply with the orders of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) which was disclosed at the Congress in Solo City, last Saturday, July 19.

In Jakarta, PSI has 8 members of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) legislature. The members of the PSI faction, continued Elva, will oversee the implementation of the regional budget (APBD) under the leadership of DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.

"In the future, PSI Jakarta will continue to encourage effective and efficient budget use. In addition, we are also not tired of fighting for transparency in this city," Elva said in his statement, Sunday, July 27.

Elva added that Jokowi advised the party now bearing the elephant to visit more often and meet the community to accompany aspirations.

"In the future, we will often go to the community to greet and listen to their complaints," said Elva.

Elva assessed that blusukan is important so that cadres can find out what problems are really experienced by the community in the field. With that, PSI can fight for the aspirations of Jakarta residents more effectively later.

"As Pak Jokowi has done before, blusukan is very important for us to get to know the community even closer. Likewise, we can better understand what problems are being faced in real terms by residents from time to time," said Elva.

"By knowing the various problems that are really experienced by the people in Jakarta, it is hoped that PSI can be more effective in fighting for the aspirations of DKI residents when attending meetings with provincial government representatives in Kebon Sirih," he added.

Previously, Jokowi advised that the party now led by Kaesang Pangarep would still stand in the interests of the people in designing and fighting for a policy.

"I want the orientation of all existing policies in PSI to be for the state, for the people, for the nation. Not for groups and for (certain) individuals," Jokowi explained at the 2025 PSI Congress.
