JAKARTA - Armed groups ambushed vehicles returning from the market in the Bokkos area of Nigeria. Attackers killed 14 passengers, including women and babies.
The attack took place around noon on Thursday, July 24, when the vehicle was transporting people back from the popular Bokkos market in the violent state of Plateau.
Farmasum Fuddang, chairman of Bokkos cultural development forum, said the attackers intercepted the vehicle and then opened fire.
"The victims included women and small babies," Fuddang said in a statement reported by Reuters, Friday, July 25.
